ABOUT DAVE


Dave’s a native southern Californian beach boy that brings a blend of entertainment & enlightenment to the practice of yoga. Dave draws inspiration from his years involved in competitive sports, lifeguarding, instructing swim, aviation & from a successful career in the mortgage industry as a hiring manager.


His goal is to provide to you the same love, satisfaction and rewards that he has been fortunate to receive from his experience on the yoga mat.

As a humanitarian, Dave is dedicated to spreading light & love throughout the world by serving others. He loves a Challenging workout, Rock & Roll, Reading & Bringing Joy, Laughter & Good Vibes to everyone he meets.

ABOUT MARISSA


Marissa was born, raised, college educated & married in southern California.


Years ago, Marissa received her 200 hour teaching certification from one of the best and highest rated Yoga studios in Southern California, iHeartYoga in Dana Point, California.


Her knowledge includes: Sanskrit, Asanas, Alignment Principles, Physiology, Mudras, Chakras, Meditation Techniques, Reiki, Yoga History & Yogic Philosophy.   


She believes the yoga philosophy can be represented both on and off the mat & displayed both inside & outside a yoga studio.


Marissa is constantly learning and seeking new ways to evolve her practice and go deeper as a teacher.


Her goal is to bring her passion & love for Yoga to all of her students.


Marissa’s hope is that her students leave her classes feeling more inspired, self-aware and refreshed.


Marissa has led multiple international retreats & events and is well versed in the following class styles;


Yin, Gentle, Vinyasa, Power Vinyasa


Marissa is a proud Cat Mom who enjoys the beauty of southern California.  She loves the beach, Loves to travel, ski, workout, bike around town & practice Yoga daily. Marissa lives a healthy life, is involved in local church ministries & volunteer at various animal rescue associations.

Nutrition: Fuel the Mind, Body & Soul

    Health is the Result of what you Consume & your Activity.

Your diet is what you consume & your activity is what you do (such as exercise), but they aren't equal.


    For Example: When it comes to weight loss, 80% of the result is diet driven while about 20% is a result of exercise. That's why someone can be physically fit & generally very unhealthy. In fact, a recent study led by the University of Sydney found that high levels of exercise won't cancel the harmful effects of a poor diet on your health or lifespan. In other words, your figure & how you fit into your jeans isn’t nearly as important as how your internal organs operate.

 

So feed yourself a diet that will Fuel Performance you desire.
